Michelle Rivera: 1972-2010


WAVV honors the life and legacy of a beautiful soul who was taken from us.  Michelle was a generous, caring, forgiving and honorable soul who will not be forgotten. Her healing touch is still felt by those who knew her and loved her work.  She considered everyone's needs before her own and loved seeing the healing take place in others.  She was an active member of WAVV and was on her way to share her gift of healing when she was forcibly released from this world.

Michelle had an order of protection taken out on her husband and took all the right steps.  If you or someone you know has been in a similar situation: speak out and get help before it is too late.

Women Against Verbal Violence is a spiritually based verbal abuse support group Sponsored by Awakened Reiki Yoga that focuses on reclaiming your divine feminie power through the emancipation from domestic verbal abuse.  We offer compassionate care and support for your situation and will handle it with the utmost discretion.

So often Mental, emotional, and verbal abuse is overlooked in our nation because it leaves no visible scars.  For those that are abused, there is the secret burden carried within with no spiritual and emotional healing and nourshiment provided.  WAVV strives to give women back their voice, re-establish self esteem, and assist in re-claiming their mind and power from those that have violated them. 

We approach healing with spiritual reverence no matter what faith or religion you may be.  We offer coping techniques, hold healing and empowerment ceremonies, and challenge one another and ourselves to rediscover the missing pieces of the women we once were.  By doing these things, we create new pathways leading to new beginnings.
